Mobile tools for OHS – there’s an app for that!

With the proliferation of smartphones came a flurry of mobile applications designed to make users a little more productive with their mobile devices. From recreation to business, developers are coming up with apps for almost every aspect of one’s day to day activities.

In the world of OHS, mobile apps are increasingly becoming another tool in the workplace health and safety toolbox. The following are just some of the apps currently available for BlackBerry and iPhone that allow users to access important and potentially life-saving OHS information. Some of tthem are free and some require purchase. (Editor’s Note: It is not COS’s intention to endorse any of these apps, but rather to provide a reference for smartphone users in the safety profession. )
